Morgensrust is an owner-managed wedding and function venue perfectly situated in the heart of the charming and peaceful farming district of Joostenbergvlakte, situated off the N1 past the Cape Garden Centre; central to Cape Town, Stellenbosch and en route to Paarl.

Morgensrust is a working olive and lavender farm whose peaceful, quiet and farm-like atmosphere offers you a warm welcome that feels like home. The venue’s unique charm and natural beauty is perfect to transform any event into a magical fantasy.  Morgensrust is often referred to as an undiscovered treasure close to home.

We specialise in exclusive daytime weddings, private functions, year-end functions, product launches, kitchen teas and baby showers.

We only host daytime events, Monday – Saturday.

Bar & Staffing

Morgensrust is fully licensed and will meet and manage all your beverage requirements. Our bar service offers skilled and trained barmen /bar ladies that are friendly and professional. The bar will be stocked and ready for use.

  • Last round to be called 30 minutes before the end of the function
  • Bar closes 15 minutes before the end of the function, non-negotiable

Our waiting staff are neat, professional and trained. They love what they do and make it their mission to serve you to the best of their abilities. Their energy and the love and pride that they have for the industry truly shows in their service. The waiters are responsible for the serving, clearing of tables, filling of juice / water jugs and when required, the serving of drinks.

Staffing will be charged additionally per hour needed.

Service Packages

Should you want a hassle-free day and decide to have your wedding at Morgensrust we will take care of every little detail for you ranging from décor to mouth-watering catering talked about long after the detail has been forgotten.

We offer a ONE-STOP Decor Package, where we will source, order and set-up all your decor needs. Delivery and collection included. We found that bridal parties are much more relaxed and calm when they don’t need to worry about any set-up and arrangements for the special day.

We offer an on-site DJ which includes setup and all equipment from lighting to audio.

We include On the Day Event Co-ordination which supplies you with:

  • Running of the Day
  • Overseeing setup & final correspondence with your suppliers
  • Formal Function sheet
  • Decor mock-up
